Fireworks in November

I was watching the American Music Awards last night. Katy Perry came on. I am a big fan. Partially because she is from the area that I consider my home town. Partially because she came from nothing and has made her way to the top and recently when on The Extreme Home Makeover TV show I was watching told her story to a girls school and gave her shoes away to one of the students that admired it, it really moved my heart.

I had not heard her latest song. But once I did, I was hooked. What a wonderful message. I took my own personal meaning from it , as anyone could do when hearing or reading the lyrics. For me it was about not giving up or in on my quest to have my dreams come true of Clear Choice dental implants being gifted to me, and dental work being gifted to my husband. Or to give up on who I am that is over and above just what teeth add to the picture. It was pretty powerful. I mean ever since I visited the dentist and then the teeth began hurting worse and worse from both the fibromyalgia and the weather changes and well the state they are in, I have let all that dictate how I feel about myself, every part of me. Making me weaker to handle the everyday battles life is handing out to me and my husband right now. Making me forget that I am a fighter.

When I got a massage the other day, you know the one that was a gift from a near stranger. The massage therapist told me I had an incredible energy. That it just radiated from me. I could not believe her. I had lost that feeling about myself. I knew I had once had it , could feel it's power, but I have of late felt like a candle that one has snuffed out. Dark, not even an ember of my former self seems to be left. But she could see it, feel it. It makes me want to find it again. Feel that way again. Then I heard this song and Katy seemed to put into words what I was feeling and telling me I could be more again. So I thought I would share both the lyrics and the video.

The video is aimed at children and teens. I think it is a wonderful empowerment message that she is giving them, and it is a beautiful video. So read the lyrics, watch the video and feel your own fireworks becoming brighter , even if they were not as dim as mine.

Do you ever feel
Like a plastic bag
Drifting through the wind
Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel

Feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel

Already buried deep
Six feet under
Screams but no one
Seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there’s

Still a chance for you
‘Cause there’s a spark
In you

You just gotta

Ignite
The light
And let
It shine
Just own
The night
Like the 4th of July

‘Cause baby you’re a

Firework
Come on show ‘em
What you’re worth
Make ‘em go
Ah! Ah! Ah!
As you shoot across the
Sky
Baby you’re a
Firework
Come on let your
Colors burst
Make ‘em go
Ah! Ah! Ah!
You’re gonna leave
Them all in
Awe

You don’t have to feel

Like a wasted space
You’re original
Cannot be replaced

If you only knew

What the future holds
After a hurricane
Comes a rainbow

Maybe a reason why

All the doors are closed
So you could open one
That leads you to
The perfect road

Like a lightning bolt

Your heart will glow
And when it’s time
You’ll know

You just gotta

Ignite
The light
And let
It shine
Just own
The night
Like the 4th of July

‘Cause baby you’re a

Firework
Come on show ‘em
What you’re worth
Make ‘em go
Ah! Ah! Ah!
As you shoot across the
Sky
Baby you’re a
Firework
Come on let your
Colors burst
Make ‘em go
Ah! Ah! Ah!
You’re gonna leave
Them all in
Awe

Boom

Boom
Boom
Even brighter than the
Moon
Moon
Moon
It’s always been inside of
You
You
You
And now it’s time to
Let it through

‘Cause baby you’re a

Firework
Come on show ‘em
What you’re worth
Make ‘em go
Ah! Ah! Ah!
As you shoot across the
Sky
Baby you’re a
Firework
Come on let your
Colors burst
Make ‘em go
Ah! Ah! Ah!
You’re gonna leave
Them all in
Awe

Boom

Boom
Boom
Even brighter than the
Moon
Moon
Moon

Boom

Boom
Boom
Even brighter than the
Moon
Moon
Moon
