Fall Fashion Show

Saturday my daughter Rebecca and myself headed to the Roseville Westfield Galleria Mall. I had seen on the web site that there was to be a stop there of the Style Tour hosted by no other than Stacy London from What Not To Wear! Being a huge fan of the show and of Stacy, we just had to go. Originally it was to be at noon, so we wanted to get there way ahead of time to get a place next to the ropes...knowing the seats set up would be reserved. However once we arrived we found out that there was to be a small "talk show" with Q&A at 1 p.m. and then the actual fashion show at 3 p.m., it was to be a long day....but we did not regret going early!

Dressed to hopefully impress, but staying true to self.
Since we were there early, way before the crowds, we stood around and watched Stacy film a few TV spots. Well we were just standing there when her assistant pointed us out, and believe it or not I got the up and down and an approval nod from Stacy. My daughter and I were so over the moon about this, it was all we could chat about that day!
Being very early, we went out for brunch and tea, it truly hit the spot I might add.
From the 2nd level it is perfect for watching all the goings ons. Hand picked stylists, make up artists and hair consultants were on hand to help shoppers with ideas and mini makeovers to help achieve a new look, not only for Fall, but for beyond that.

So wish I could have that coat!
A few lucky early birds even got to speak to Stacy in person!Wish I had been brave enough after the nod to walk up and say hello.

The stage was set for an enjoyable afternoon.
The crowd and V.I.P's began to take their seats for the first event.

Much to our delight, there was a few no shows, and we got to pick any seat we wanted! My feet were very happy!
The M.C. came out, to get the crowd excited.....

Then Stacy made her entrance to roaring ,some even crying, crowd.

In fashions from H&M, designer shoes, vintage jewelry as well as batman earrings ( as she mentioned she secretly dreams of being a super hero) she looked amazing!

Stacy London is the editor in chief of the new Westfield STYLE magazine. The Style tour is to help kick off the premier issue.

Her guests for the "show" were a local TV personality, the owner of SooHoo Salons out of Sacramento, as well as a local fashion designer, Caren Templet of Caren Templet inc....Ms. Templet had seen me earlier, and she too complimented me on my outfit! I was once again all a flutter!

Talking about Sacramento Style.
After sitting and waiting for the hour before the actual fashion show, and through the M.C. asking triva questions, handing out gift cards etc. the show began. All the fashions were a mix of high and low, and all from stores in our mall. This is one of my fav looks..so lady like!
Hard to tell, but the shoes are leopard print.

I styled my black cape in this manner today...belting it made it so chic and kept it in place!
Love the golden, sparkly shoes!

I will be buying a pair of polka dot stockings!

Loved the animal print tux jacket!

A sparkling show ender!

Three local women won the right to be re-styled by Stacy and appear on stage...a stay at home mom, going back out on the work force....

...coming out of retirement and ready to work...and wanted to learn how not to be so matchy matchy....

...a breast cancer survivor, going back to work, starting all over again on the first day of the rest of her life!

A question and answer segment ended the show officially...it truly was great fun to see all the fashions, hear the fans speak, and hear Stacy gives us pro tips on what to wear and how to wear it. Of course being one that colors outside the lines when it comes to fashion, and also tending, with my black and white to be matchy matchy, I did not pay close attention to the tips and rules...but it's ok, cause I got the nod of approval and that is all I need to know.

  3. Ruby,
Woot Hoot! You looked fabulous in this picture and you looked fabulous in your black belted cape, too! They should have had you on the stage as an example of someone who "gets' fashion.

Isn't true fashion thinking outside the box and being real with yourself? I think you got it girl!

    You go!
