1920's Halloween parties were all the rage. Towns would have dances, social club gatherings, and a variety of decorations followed suit. Parties had themes such as an "Animals" or "Famous People" with an art deco flare to the costumes and decorations.
° 1930's Halloween was being celebrated more by adults than by their children. Costumes were outlandish, and the parties would last all night. Many had lavish parties that would cost a small fortune.

The children are ready.... |
There are some wonderful costume options for the ladies! |

The band is here.... |
Time for a photo op.... |
The little ones, all hyped up on candy are a bit hard to control, but "Mom" managed to get a photo. |
The children are now down for the night, and it is time for the adults to enjoy and celebrate... |
And as the humans drink their "strong tea" so does the witches as they recount what they saw and did on All Hallow's Eve.... |
Loved looking at all of the old photos! When I lived in my previous house (built in 1929) it was fun researching any history that may have been written about the house and in old newspaper articles. I found that many many bridge teas were held in the house, as it was owned by a prominent family and never failed to think of them when I served dinner in my dining room. The articles talked about everything such as what food was served at a bridal shower that was held there as well as when the family would go out of town who was housesitting for them! Love looking back to that seemingly more innocent time!
