The crowds lined up......
And the balloon man and the prison band ( complete with ankle bracelets) kept them all entertained, while we waited for the beginning of the parade to start.
There was tethered runners in unusual costumes.....
Soon we knew it would start when the National Anthem was sung with a country twang and the cheers began. There was vintage cars......
Even our troops made an appearance to much applause as they passed by....

ReplyDelete2- In my hometown, we have our community days. They're not quite as "pioneer" as those, but definitely have the same small town vibe! In fact, those days are coming up next weekend!
