French Girl Friday :Bonus Post

Hello my friends. Sorry I have been MIA since Sunday. I have not been feeling well as I expressed in that blog, but wanted to hop on and give you a bonus post for French Girl Friday. It is to be the very last one, unless I can find another book in which to keep up the theme.

In the book, there is recommendations for movies to see , and books to read, so I thought I would share some of these with you. As well as a book I just finished reading that I truly enjoyed. So let's start with that.

Elegance, by Kathleen Tessaro:True Love Never Goes out of Style.
"Unhappy with her looks, her life and her empty marriage, Louise Canova need's help-and she finds it in a secondhand bookstore. A forty-year-old encyclopedia of style titled Elegance, this slim volume by formidable French fashion expert Madame Dariaux promises to transform even the plainest of women into creatures of poise and grace. It is a fairy godmother in print, an A-z manual with essential advice that Louise vows to take to heart. But within its pages lie not only clues from her past, but also powerful lessons for her future. And as the old Louise gives way to the stunning new, she's about to find out that there's more to every life than what appears on the surface...and that everything, even elegance, has its price. "

I truly enjoyed this book, from each chapter starting with a style tip , that though parts were dated, still offered advice that I would follow. Then the story of the quirky character of Louise and her ups and downs and insecurities right up to the end was very charming. I thought it was very neat that Louise was an American in England, reading this book about becoming a fashionable elegant lady with the help of a French Fashion Icon ( and yes that book she follows really does exist!)  So I highly suggest that if you enjoyed the series I was doing based on the book Entre Nous, that you buy a copy and soon!!
