Hello!Did you miss me? I am so glad you all enjoyed the 300th post. It came from the heart, truly! I adore all my fans/followers.
Ok now on to what kept me away from the computer yesterday. Hubby and I decided we wanted to take a drive along the coast. To get to hwy 1 is over 2 hours away, a far cry away from where we grew up and we lived off of the famed highway and the beach was only a 20 minute drive! Needless to say it has been years since we have been to the coast. Life and money and even time prevented it...yet truly that is partially an excuse. We have as you known traveled for the day just as far away, but the inner roads of our area of California...it really came down to, at least I believe so, that it is hard for us to want to go as it makes us miss it so. We finally said no matter what we were to go for my husbands birthday and make a full day of it, and that is what we did. So full I will be posting pics for most of the week...so be prepared for a "picture postcard" daycation post nearly each day this week.
I had so many photos that I took, some turned out, and some did not, and some fell in between. My camera is dying a slow death so it is rather finicky with when it works. Oh then there is the difficulty of taking photos while in the car, moving. The list goes on and on as to why some photos are good and others are not, so after deleting quite a few, I kept the passable. I do hope you will truly enjoy going along on this daycation with hubby and myself.
The morning began with getting up bright and early, preparing our picnic lunch, getting ourselves all dressed and packed(extra shoes, layers of clothing)and before too long we headed out. First destination was to Yountville California in the heart of Napa Valley. A Twitter friend posted to me of a bakery there that had French style Macarons, and so I wanted to buy some for the picnic we would have later. It meant going about 20-30 minutes out of our way, but as I found out later, it would be so worth it.
