Every morning, she rose with the sun-
a ritual punctually followed
by peach blossom tea
and grapefruit.
For refreshment she walked
through the woods.
There was life to be lived.

I thought since so many people are now starting to deal with rising temperatures across the country, craving cooler temps of Fall to arrive before Summer even truly gets started that I would give you a visual cool down with a few photos* of various woods and forests across the world.....hopefully it offers you a mental escape, even if for a brief time.....
Can you feel the soft moist ground beneath your feet... |
The cooling early morning mists.... |
you never know where the trail will lead... |
perhaps a babbling brook to dangle your feet in.... |
or a path bordered by Blue Bells ... |
maybe you will enter fairy land ! |

Very nice, There are not any woods or forests in my area of TX that look these, (that I know of) Thank you.. However, I use to love being in the sun! It feels great for a little while and is good for the bones. I am finding that the older I get, the more that I am unable to tolerate it for very long. The small amount of time that I spend outside with my dogs gives me just enough Vitamin D but then I am back inside soaking up the A/C.. Thanks again for posting these refreshing photos... ;-)
ReplyDelete#Susie Used to live in Texas myself, indeed there was not many forests. I crave the sun. Need it to feel good...stop hurting. It is amazing what different fibro sufferers need isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThank you Ruby for sharing these lovely images. We live in Southern California and do miss the beauty of the German & Austrian forrests.
